Huon Aquaculture are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate with experience in marine farming or aquaculture to join our sub-sea team as a Diver. Based out of our Macquarie Harbour site at Strahan, this role plays an integral part in providing support through general dive and farm attendant duties along with ROV support at this site. The roster is 4 days on, 3 days off.
Our Subsea team prides itself on its safe work procedures, high quality equipment and professionalism. We believe we have one of the best aquaculture diving operations in Australia and continue to actively work to improve our procedures, update equipment and embrace new technology.
You will possess a strong work ethic, well-developed communication skills and have a current Dive Medical, O2 and First Aid ticket. Experience in a similar role and a Certificate III Aquaculture (Diver) or ADAS Part 2 restricted Dive ticket (or equivalent) is essential. A copy of your qualifications must be submitted upon application.
Strong attention to detail is essential and you must be a positive team player. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
