Huon’s Learning and Development Team is looking for a motivated and passionate team member who thrives on creating the conditions for people to learn, grow, and perform at their best. You’ll play a hands-on role in developing and delivering training programs that build capability and strengthen our safety and performance culture across our processing operations.

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, this full-time, permanent position is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, implementing, and evaluating learning and development initiatives that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within Huon Aquaculture’s processing facilities.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Deliver engaging, practical and high-quality training sessions that build skills, confidence and promote a strong safety and quality culture.
  • Partner with leaders to identify skill gaps and develop annual training plans that align with business and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor training compliance to meet HACCP, WHS and food safety standards, supporting audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning culture where team members feel encouraged to develop and succeed.
  • Manage training data and learning systems to ensure accurate, accessible and up-to-date records.
  • Review and enhance training content, delivery methods and processes to continually improve learning outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Recent and relevant experience in training and developing team members in a similar environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, identify priorities and deliver on objectives.

  • Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and a willingness to learn new systems.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

  • A genuine focus on safety and wellbeing, consistent with Huon’s values.

  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites, and occasionally interstate.
