Innovation is at the heart of what we do, and we're looking for a Product Developer to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract based at our Ingleburn processing facility.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full new product development lifecycle, helping bring innovative, high-quality seafood products to market. From concept through to commercialisation, you'll collaborate with teams across the business to develop products that meet customer needs while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and commercial success.

What you'll be doing;

• Drive new product development projects from concept through to commercial launch.
• Manage products through Huon's stage-gate development process.
• Coordinate product trials and work closely with Production, Quality, Commercial and Supply Chain teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Develop and maintain product specifications, packaging and labelling.
• Ensure products meet food safety, regulatory and quality requirements.
• Research emerging ingredients, technologies and market trends to support future innovation.
• Evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to bring new ideas to life.

About you

You're passionate about food innovation and enjoy turning ideas into products that customers love. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving problems and have the technical knowledge to balance creativity with quality and compliance.

You'll also bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in product development or food technology within a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, labelling and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing and maintaining product specifications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• A genuine commitment to safety and quality.
