The role
Our Parramatta Creek Processing Factory is on the hunt for an organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fish Performance Officer. This role will collect and analyse fish performance, fish health, and quality-based data.
Primarily located at our Parramatta Creek Processing factory, off-site work may be required to further understand Huon’s fish performance and health strategies.
You will:
- Collect and monitor data on fish performance, health, and quality to support decision-making and fish wellbeing insights.
- Coordinate flesh quality sample collections and liaise with local feed suppliers for analysis, ensuring effective communication and efficiency.
- Assist the Feed Trials team through the coordination of equipment, schedules, and resources for sampling events to optimise operational efficiency.
- Collate and report data to provide actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including Fish Production Manager, Fish Production Analyst, and Quality Assurance Officer, to ensure all relevant data is captured and any health concerns are promptly communicated.
About you
- Experience with fin fish in a processing environment and a willingness to extend knowledge in the fish performance and fish health space.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to make sound decisions, working effectively under tight deadlines.
- Confidence in your computer skills and using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail with well-developed analytical and reporting skills.
