About the Role
As the Ships Compliance Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operations meet he highest standards of safety, compliance and efficiency. You’ll bring a thorough understanding of maritime regulations – particularly AMSA, MAST and ISM /ISPS codes to support our marine teams with expert guidance and practical safety-first solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Safety Management Systems (SMS), standard operating procedures, and risk assessments for feed and larger vessels.
- Provide advice and support in line with AMSA, MAST and ISM/ISPS regulations.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including ship crews, maintenance teams and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in managing vessel inspections, maintenance scheduling, survey repairs, and slipping programs.
- Coordinate crewing requirements and maintain induction records for larger vessels.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety processes and documentation across the fleet.
What You Will Bring
- Marine operations experience – Masters 5 and MED 3 Highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of AMSA and MAST compliance regulations and their workplace application.
- Experience or certification in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is a plus.
- Proven organisational and time management skills with a methodical approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and passion for ongoing learning and professional development.
