At Huon, safety isn’t just a policy, it is a condition of how we work. We’re currently on the lookout for a passionate, proactive Work Health & Safety Advisor to join our Safety & Wellbeing Team supporting our sites across stunning Tasmania.

The Role – More than a desk job

You’ll hit the road regularly working closely with teams across Tasmania to embed a strong safety culture in everything we do.

Reporting the WHS Lead you’ll:

• Partner with leaders and frontline teams to coach, guide and embed safe practices across sites
• Be visible trusted safety presence on the ground where it counts
• Facilitate risk assessments and help develop practical easy to follow SOP’s
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the development and review of WHS systems and procedures
• Strengthen communication and engagement around WHS at all levels

This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others stay safe and succeed.

About you – Natural Coach, a Safety Champion

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Cert IV in WHS or higher and has real world experience in a similar role
• Is a confident communicator who can build trust and influence others
• Thrives in a dynamic, operational environment and thinks on their feet
• Has a practical, solutions focused mindset and an eye for identifying risk before it becomes a problem
• Is open to travel and holds a current, unrestricted drivers licence
