The Site Manager is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for daily operations at one of our hatchery sites — Forest Home, Lonnavale, or Whale Point. You’ll lead the team, oversee facility performance, and ensure fish welfare and stock quality are maintained to the highest standards.
Working Monday to Friday, you will:
- Lead and support the Hatchery team, setting clear direction and managing resources effectively.
- Oversee system performance and fish welfare, making informed decisions based on data analysis.
- Implement the year class plan to align production cycles with facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, legislation, and biosecurity protocols.
- Manage budgets, supplies, logistics, and maintain accurate data entry

- You bring a strong foundation in aquaculture with extensive expertise in fish husbandry
- You are an experienced leader who develops and mentors teams to achieve their full potential
- You thrive under pressure, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards
- You demonstrate sound decision-making, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges
- You communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and are confident using systems such as Microsoft Suite, FishTalk, and MEX
