Huon is seeking a motivated and safety-focused ROV Attendant to join our Hideaway Bay (Dover) site to support our marine farming operations through the operation of specialist remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and support vessels.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading underwater technology while contributing to the sustainable production of premium Australian salmon.
Available Rosters
We are currently recruiting for both:
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 5:21pm
- Night Shift: 5:00pm – 4:21am
Both positions operate on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, providing a great work-life balance and extended time off between swings.
About the Role
As an ROV Attendant, you will play a critical role in supporting Huon's marine farming operations. Working closely with operational teams, you'll assist with subsea inspections, support net cleaning activities, monitor fish welfare and predator activity, and contribute to vessel-based operations to ensure our sites operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the safe and efficient operation of ROV equipment and vessel-based activities.
- Assist with net and subsea inspections, providing accurate data, reporting, and operational insights.
- Monitor predator activity and support fish welfare outcomes.
- Assist in the delivery of net cleaning programs and broader farm support operations.
- Maintain ROV equipment to a high standard and identify maintenance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with managers, vessel crews, and operational teams to achieve production and operational objectives.
- Adhere to all company procedures, regulatory requirements, and biosecurity protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a strong safety culture.
