Join Our Feed Trials Team at Huon
The Feed Trials team works in partnership with feed suppliers to test how different feed types impact fish growth and health. As part of our close-knit team, you'll help maintain trial pens and support a range of fish health activities in a unique, hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities
🐟 Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of trial pens and nets.
🐟 Monitor fish health and welfare, ensuring the highest standards of care.
🐟 Collect accurate trial data, tracking feed rates, fish behaviour, growth, performance, and environmental conditions.
🐟 Manage daily feeding schedules in line with project plans and trial requirements.
Location & Roster
📍 Hideaway Bay (near Dover)
🕒 Full-time | 3 on, 4 off / 4 on, 3 off roster
- Week 1: Sunday–Tuesday
- Week 2: Sunday–Wednesday
About You
✔️ Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships within a team.
✔️ Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
✔️ Excellent attention to detail with well-developed analytical and reporting skills.
✔️ Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite.
✔️ A commitment to working safely in a dynamic environment, identifying risks, and taking appropriate action.
✔️ Experience working on the water and relevant qualifications or tickets are highly regarded.
